Gilmore Girls
fans rejoice -- again!

New details have emerged about the revival of The WB’s fan favorite mother-daughter drama, which have us even more excited. The show will be returning, via Netflix, as four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies, a slightly unorthodox format until you hear what showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino has planned.

According to TVLine, each of the four episodes will take place during each season in a calendar year. So, there will be a chapter of the new story -- which takes place in real time, about eight years after the show’s finale -- set in the spring, summer, fall, and winter.

The possibilities are endless, in terms of what this could mean for our favorite mother-daughter duo. Will there be a dance marathon in the spring?

A fall harvest festival?

Hopefully, we’ll at least see a callback to Lorelai’s love of all things snowy in the winter installment.

There are still so many questions to answer, but this gives a tiny glimpse into the show’s highly-anticipated return. On a related note, no matter wha the season, we’re desperately hoping for a Sookie St. James appearance.

Sherman-Palladino and her husband, executive producer Dan Palladino will write and direct the entire revival, and negotiations with primary cast members like Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, and Scott Patterson, are said to be underway.

Reps for Warner Bros. and Netflix have not yet commented on the revival.
