It wouldn’t have been an American Idol series finale without a show-stopping performance from the original Idol champ, Kelly Clarkson.

Despite being unable to perform live because she's close to giving birth to her second child, Clarkson prerecorded an epic medley of some of her biggest hits, and it couldn't have been more amazing.

Kicking things off with "Miss Independent," Clarkson went on to effortlessly transition into her hits "Breakaway," "Since U Been Gone," "Because of You," "Walk Away," "My Life Would Suck Without Out," "Already Gone," "Don't You Wanna Stay," "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," "Heartbeat Song," and "Invincible."

Finally, the 33-year-old songstress brought things home with a stirring, a capella rendition of her emotional single, "A Moment Like This," and the soulful lyrics really nailed home the importance of her performance and American Idol as a whole.

"Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this. Some people search forever for that one special wish. Oh, I can't believe it's happening to me. Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this," Clarkson belted, backlit by blue spotlights like the show-stealing diva she truly is.

Host Ryan Seacrest might have said it best immediately following Clarkson's performance, gushing, "It's insane how many hits she's had. It's just incredible."

After killing it on stage, Clarkson channeled Beyonce, striking the most confident pose while showing off her adorable baby bump.

Clarkson jokingly poked fun of her epic performance on Twitter after it aired, writing, "Who's that sweaty, pregnant girl singing?? ....oh snap that's me hahaha!! #ohwell"

She went on to thank Idol for the opportunities the show provided, but things spun a little out of control due to a series of adorable typos she blamed on being pregnant.

"Thnx #AmericanIdol 4 the moment that changed my life & provided w/me a road 2 success & happiness! #blessed," she wrote, before correcting her typo in another tweet: "Haha I messed that last tweet up! I blame pregnancy! I meant 'w/me' not 'me w/' #pregnantbrain."

Finally, instead of deleting the tweet and trying again, Clarkson went on to correct her correction, tweeting, "CRAP hahaha!! I can't win with this tweet! I meant 'me w/a' meaning 'providing me with a' #whatishappening."
