EXCLUSIVE: 'Blindspot' Star Archie Panjabi Breaks the Ice With an Unexpected Joke -- Watch!

NBC

ET has the exclusive sneak peek from Wednesday's episode.

Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) is opening up on Blindspot.

On Wednesday’s episode, titled “Condone Untidiest Thefts,” NSA Agent Nas Kamal (Archie Panjabi) finds a moment of reprieve to get to know Weller a little bit better, and ET debuts the exclusive first look.

"After getting off to a rocky start, Weller and NSA Agent Nas Kamal finally break the ice while discussing Weller's past,” Alex Berger, co-executive producer of Blindspot, tells ET.

In the scene, Kamal breaks the ice by asking Weller why he’s not pictured a lot in his school yearbooks.

“I hated military school,” he explains, pulling up a chair and reminiscing about his past. “After Taylor [Shaw] disappeared, [I was] pretty sure my father was responsible, so it was kind of hard for us to be in the same house. I was so worried about my sister, I broke out all the time, snuck home just to check on her, make sure she was OK. Surprised they didn’t expel me.”

“Quite the opposite it seems,” Kamal observes. “Seems like you won some scholarships your last few years there.”

“Part of being a underprivileged kid,” Weller says, trying to downplay his Outstanding Marksman honor. “I was that for sure.”

“I was voted Class Clown,” Kamal deadpans, which Weller has a hard time believing. Watch the scene below to see what happens next!
