Michael Caine can be something of a matchmaker -- or at least he tried to be!
Going in Style director Zach Braff appeared on Wednesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he shared a past moment about the film's British star, who apparently tried to set Braff up with former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger!
"Everyone is looking to set me up with people," the bachelor, who turns 42 on Thursday, told DeGeneres regarding pressure from his family and friends to find love. "I actually went to dinner with Michael Caine in London, 'cause I was over there ... He's like, 'I'm gonna set you up with a girl.'"

"He's looking around the restaurant and he sees Nicole Scherzinger," he shared with a laugh. "I'm like, 'Yeah, you can set me up with her! Turns out he's a horrible wingman."
"He's like, 'I'm watching you two, I see what's happening,' and I'm like, 'This is really not going well!'" Braff continued.

Needless to say, the romance between the two never took off, but you can't fault the two-time Oscar winner for trying!
Meanwhile, Going in Style, which hits theaters on Friday, brings the comedic stylings of Caine, Morgan Freeman and Alan Arkin into one fantastic place.
