Four years after Arrested Development was revived by Netflix, season five is still on track. Creator Mitch Hurwitz shared with reporters during the streaming service's summer Television Critics Association press tour last July that the wheels were in motion.

"We're very close," he said. “I’m very hesitant -- it’s something that I’m very desperate to do. We’ve got a lot of stories broken. We’re kind of ready to go.”

“It’s what we’re trying to accomplish, and if it does happen, it looks like shooting would be at the start of 2017 -- that’s what I’m hoping. That’s my sincere hope,” Hurwitz added.

It's unclear whether any of the show's other original stars -- Will Arnett, Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, David Cross, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter -- will be back.
