The Canadian author says she's so 'proud' of the young man her son's becoming.

Pattie Mallette is so proud of her son, Justin Bieber.

The Canadian author took to Instagram on Thursday, sharing an adorable photo of the two on vacation. But it was her super sweet message to the 23-year-old pop star that melted our hearts.

"I'm so proud of the amazing young man you are, and the young man you are becoming," she wrote. "None of us are perfect and never will be, (so we will always need patience and grace for each other), but your genuine growing relationship with Jesus is evident in the choices you are making daily and the good 'fruit' you bear. I admire your character and integrity."

"You are maturing beautifully and wise beyond your years," she continued. "You are so funny that I find myself laughing out loud when I'm alone, remembering of something you said or did. And your heart is gold. I love you to the moon and back. #lovemom Ps. Did I mention I was proud of you?"

The post comes amid the ongoing drama Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, is facing with her own mother, Mandy Teefey. A source told ET last month that Teefey is not happy with Gomez for rekindling her romance with the "Sorry" singer yet again. The two first started dating in 2010, and have been on and off over the years ever since.

"[Mandy] had a breakdown and checked herself into a hospital," the source said at the time. "The breakdown was likely the result of a culmination of stress of the holidays, the anniversary of her miscarriage -- which hit her very hard -- and the stress of Justin and Selena getting serious."

"She is not handling Justin and Selena's reunion well," the source continued. "Selena has a second lease on life [following her kidney transplant] -- it would be a shame if she repeated the same mistakes this time around too."

However, it doesn't sound like Gomez and Bieber will be parting ways anytime soon.

"They are very serious," the source explained. "They are in this for the long haul. They may be young, but don't forget, both their parents married young and had children young, so this is normal to them, plus they've already accomplished so much career-wise. They’re at a point in their lives where marriage and kids are definitely on the table."
