Stassi Schroeder Says She's 'Unwell' After Discovering She’s Related to Gypsy Rose Blanchard

My Family Genie revealed the surprising family connection on Instagram.

In an unexpected twist of genealogical discovery, Dr. Adina Newman, known as My Family Genie, has revealed a surprising family connection between Gypsy Rose Blanchard and former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder.

Newman took to Instagram over the weekend to share her findings, claiming that Blanchard, recently released from prison after serving over seven years for her involvement in her mother's murder, and Schroeder are allegedly related on their paternal grandmother's side.

According to the genealogist, their closest connection can be traced back to Antoine Bourg and Antoinette Landry, progenitors of the Bourg line in Acadia during the 17th century.

Commenting on the revelation, 35-year-old Schroeder humorously expressed her shock, stating, "Omg I’m unwell 😂😂😂💀💀💀." Newman responded with enthusiasm, saying, "I love this for you ❤️."

Further surprising fans, Newman disclosed in a second post that Blanchard and Schroeder share familial ties with Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney.

"Gypsy is 11th cousins once removed with Katie and 11 cousins with Stassi," Newman wrote.

Blanchard, whose life story has been widely documented in HBO's Mommy Dead and Dearest and Hulu's The Act, recently gained her freedom after being convicted of second-degree murder in 2016.

Her mother, Clauddine Blanchard, was a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a disorder in which a caregiver fabricates or induces illness in a dependent to gain attention.

Blanchard, 32, has rapidly gained a massive following on social media, with nearly six million followers on Instagram and 6.2 million on TikTok.

As Blanchard embarks on her post-prison life, a new documentary titled The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard is set to premiere on Lifetime this Friday.
