Life on the road is now more exciting for new moms Maddie & Tae.

The country duo – Madison "Maddie" Font and Taylor "Tae" Kerr – spoke with ET's Rachel Smith at the 2024 ACM Awards on Thursday night about being nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year, their 10th anniversary as a group and what it's like touring as new moms.

"This is our 10th year being nominated for Duo of the Year and we, I mean, just feel honored," Maddie said. "We've been here for a decade, since we were 19. Since we were babies and now we have babies, so it's really special to be here for a decade."

Maddie & Tae's professional and personal relationship is still somehow getting better and better.

"We just keep going as people and growing as a duo and our lives just become more fulfilling and richer especially now that we have families," Tae said. "We just have a bigger 'why' to why we do what we do and we just are thankful to still get recognized in this category."

Tae gave birth to her first child in January 2022, welcoming a baby girl, Leighton Grace Kerr, with husband Josh Kerr.

Meanwhile, Maddie welcomed a baby boy, Forrest Henry Font, with husband Jonah Font in September.

"We're living our dream," Maddie added. "We are, we are living our wildest dream. We get to be mamas and wives like we are so blessed."

The two opened up about how life on the road is with two little groupies now joining in on the fun.

"Not a ton of sleep, but a whole lot of fun, it really makes the days go by faster, we don't get bored," Maddie said. "There's not boredom on the road anymore, there used to be. And now instead of tequila in the fridge there's just breast milk instead …  It's that rock star life you know?"

"We wouldn't have it any other way," Tae shared.

Maddie & Tae's "Here's To Friends" tour kicked off March 16 in New Port Richey, Florida, and will conclude August 31 in Westville, Illinois.

The 59th Academy of Country Awards, "Country Music's Party of the Year," streamed live on Prime Video.
