Amy Poehler to Direct and Star in Netflix Comedy 'Wine Country' Alongside 'Saturday Night Live' Alums

Amy Poehler is heading to Wine Country!

The 46-year-old actress will make her directorial debut with the Netflix film Wine Country. The movie, which Poehler will produce and star in, also stars fellow Saturday Night Live alums Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Tina Fey, as well as Paula Pell and Emily Spivey. 

A hilarious promo for the flick shows the women relaxing in a house singing along to Kenny Loggins' "Whenever I Call You Friend." "It's happening -- Amy Poehler's directorial debut, Wine Country, is coming soon to Netflix!" the streaming service captioned the clip. "Get excited. Get real excited."

According toThe Hollywood Reporter, which was first to report the news, Wine Country was written by Spivey and Liz Cackowski. The film tells the story of longtime friends who go to Napa for a weekend getaway to celebrate a 50th birthday. 

While Poehler will reunite with her SNL pals in Wine Country, she recently got together with herParks and Recreation co-stars, Rashida Jones, Aubrey Plaza and Kathryn Hahn, in honor of Galentine's Day.
