ET's first reaction to the 10-years-in-the-making Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover event, starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt and Josh Brolin.

Perhaps no superhero movie has faced expectations like Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel's massive crossover event that unites the Avengers, Guardians and just about anyone else who has ever appeared in the studio's Cinematic Universe to battle the ultimate big bad, Thanos (played by Josh Brolin). Hype has only built since Infinity War was announced in 2014 as a culmination of a decade of interconnected episodes, though the movie itself has been tightly shrouded in secrecy -- until now.

ET's Ash Crossan has seen Infinity War and can confidently say...your jaw will be left on the floor.

The Russo Brothers manage to pack a decade's worth of beloved characters into an all-together action-packed film, while giving each character ample time to shine. Especially at this point in the MCU, it's easy to forget that many of these characters not only have never met, but are fully unaware of each other’s existence -- making for some truly delightful, and often hilarious, character pairings we never knew we needed.

Even beyond the laughter, Infinity War is an intense and powerful ride that will take you through a full spectrum of emotions. For the Avengers, and the fans who have grown to love them over the years, the stakes have never been higher. Avoid spoilers at all costs. (ET’s full review forthcoming).

The first screening of Infinity War, in its entirety, was Monday night's world premiere, held at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. First reactions hit social media shortly afterward, calling the movie "ballsy" and "stunning." (Praise came from within the Marvel family, too, with tweets from Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson and Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson.)

Avengers: Infinity War opens April 27.
