See all the star-studded, wildly expensive ads airing during this year's face-off between the 49ers and the Chiefs.
It wouldn't be the Super Bowl without some star-studded commercials! Every year, families gather around the television on Super Bowl Sunday to watch the fun and exciting TV spots -- and also a football game.
The nation's biggest companies shell out millions to craft hilarious, clever, touching and downright wild ads for the annual sporting event. Designed to make viewers laugh, cry or bond with one another, advertisers spare no expense to capture people's hearts and minds.
As the popularity of the ads has grown over the years, the commercials don't just debut during the big game, either. Companies release teasers for the commercials, as well as viral and social media campaigns that hype up expectations, which drop long before kickoff ever comes. Which is the case with the many commercials and campaigns featured below.
So, as the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers face off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, we're taking a look at all the celebs who lent their star power to this year's Super Bowl commercials!
Beyonce's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Not only did this spot see Beyonce trying to break the internet in increasingly bizarre ways (including creating a cyborg-Beyonce and starring in 'Barbey'), but it ends with her shooting into space on a rocket and announcing new music, all to promote Verizon's unbreakable internet connection.
Vince Vaughn and Tom Brady's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
If you need effortless charm, you can turn to Vince Vaughn, who helms BetMGM's spot this year with a commercial that promises that anyone can use the online sportsbook -- except, that is, for Tom Brady, because he's already simply won too much in his life.
Scarlett Johansson's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
While M&Ms have been promoting their "Almost Champions Ring of Comfort" commercial for a few weeks ahead of the big game, they saved their Scarlett Johansson cameo for when it counted. Johansson pokes fun at her past Oscar losses in a self-deprecating way that is utterly charming, and is easily one of the best celeb surprise appearances of the night.
Anthony Hopkins 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
The incomparable Anthony Hopkins brings gravitas and unexpected silliness to this commercial, which sees the Oscar winner donning a big red dragon mascot costume while fueled by Stok Cold Brew coffee.
Jeff Goldblum's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Channeling his Independence Day character, Jeff Goldblum once again stars as Brad Bellflower, the fictional tech mogul who supposedly created Apartments.com -- only this time, he's trying to connect two giant extraterrestrial creatures who have landed on Earth with the apartment of their dreams.
Kevin Hart's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Comedian Kevin Hart is bringing his charm to the table for DraftKings Super Bowl spot this year, and while it's not super high-concept, it's fun to watch Hart just say anything for 30 seconds.
Jason Sudeikis and Lionel Messi's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Now that Jason Sudeikis and soccer are inexorably linked due to his celebrated series, Ted Lasso, the former Saturday Night Live star has been tapped to appear alongside superstar Lionel Messi in this Michelob Ultra ad featuring some soccer on the beach.
Tina Fey's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
30 Rock fans, rejoice! In this Booking.com ad, Tina Fey reveals that she uses body doubles to check into all the hotels she could ever want to stay at -- and one of the many body doubles just happens to be played by her former co-star, Jane Krakowski, in a wonderful nod to their iconic NBC sitcom.
Jenna Ortega's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Apparently, Doritos Dinamitas were discontinued in the U.S., and Jenna Ortega is part of the brand's plan to bring them back with a bang -- and seemingly a little mystery?
Kris Jenner's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
The cookie company is going back in time to imagine an alternate reality in which some of the most important decisions in history were decided by the twist of an Oreo cookie (which works quite like the flip of a coin, only tastier). This also marks Kris Jenner's first-ever Super Bowl commercial, and suggests the existence of Keeping Up With the Kardashians was decided with the twist of an Oreo.
Christopher Walken and Usher's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
In what must be a real plight in Christopher Walken's actual life, the beloved actor stars in this BMW spot in which everyone he meets is compelled to do bad impressions of him. It's a fun riff on just how iconic his voice is, and features an unexpected Usher cameo that is the collab we didn't know we needed.
Chris Pratt's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Chris Pratt with a handlebar mustache looks a lot like the Pringles mascot, evidently, so they decided to make an entire ad campaign based on that fact, and quite honestly it's strange enough to actually be interesting.
Addison Rae's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Teasing some unseen, mystery star, Addison Rae plays herself as a dance coach teaching an unknown person how to dance, and also the delicious candy Nerds are involved somehow. Fans will just have to wait for an answer to the commercial's title, "Who Is Addison Rae Coaching?"
David and Victoria Beckham's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
This year, Uber Eats is truly pulling out all the stops when it comes to paying A-listers to promote their food delivery service. David and Victoria Beckham star in this teaser trailer, and promise that "Jessica" Aniston will be in the commercial that eventually airs during the big game -- which they also can't remember the name of.
Jennifer Aniston's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Aside from the Beckhams, Uber Eats also snagged Jennifer Aniston for their new campaign, in which she has a mini Friends reunion with David Schwimmer. The commercial also features cameos from Jelly Roll and the Beckhams again, because the delivery service really went for star power this year.
Aubrey Plaza's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Aubrey Plaza brought her deadpan comedy and acerbic charm to the table for this Mountain Dew Baja Blast commercial, which shows her "having a blast" in a wide variety of otherwise uncomfortable or unusual situations. The commercial serves as a mini Parks and Recreation reunion as well, when Plaza and Nick Offerman end up riding around on dragons in a fun, delightfully weird Game of Thrones reference.
Peyton Manning and Post Malone's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Thanks to the Bud Light genie, you can now be besties with Peyton Manning or go to a raging house party featuring a live performance from Post Malone. Both stars lend their comedy chops to this surprisingly fun and surreal Super Bowl spot, and it's another unexpected yet totally appreciated team-up.
Michael Cera's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Michel Cera's last name sounds like the lotion brand Cerave -- so the actor created an elaborate ad campaign pitch for the company's execs, and brings his weird, dry humor to an otherwise seemingly low-key brand.
Kate McKinnon and Pete Davidson's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial:
Former Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon stars in a Hellmann's spot in which she thinks her cat can talk -- but can only say the word "mayo." The cat becomes so famous for this talent that it ends up dating Pete Davidson in a whirlwind romance that quickly fizzles out.
Ken Jeong's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Ken Jeong plays a man who was cryogenically frozen until Popeyes started selling wings, and now he can enjoy everything he's missed over the years -- include Labradoodles and drone-based delivery services.
Ice Spice's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
In this ad for the lemon lime soda Starry, Ice Spice has ditched her old soda, who tracks her down at a nightclub and begs her to take him back. If nothing else, this commercial does a good job of making people know that Starry is even a thing, so that's useful for the brand.
LL Cool J's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
Coors Light is bringing the chill train back, and this time LL Cool J is the conductor, bringing the ice cold frosty goodness of the Rockies into people's homes by smashing through their walls with a giant train.
Jennifer Coolidge's 2024 Super Bowl Commercial
In her spot for Discover Card, Jennifer Coolidge faces the ultimate existential question: how does some prove they aren't a robot to someone else over the phone?
