Let's take a look back at the three strangest hairstyles of the year.
3. Kaley Cuoco
It pains us to put Big Bang Theory Kaley Cuoco on the list, but the pixie cut she got in June when her hit CBS show wrapped has definitely not been the most flattering look on the red carpet. The strange way she styled it at the Vanity Fair celebration of the opening of the Vera Wang store on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles is evidence of this.
Though at least Kaley is happy about the controversial cut.
"I haven’t had my hair cut in over 20 years," she told Women's Health in September about the "cut heard around the planet." "I was ready for a change -- I felt like I needed to reinvent myself and that cut was awesome ... I loved it, I didn’t want to stop. I am surprised I did not shave my head."
... But perhaps a shaved style would be better than the look above, no?
2. Hilary Duff
The half topknot Hilary Duff was sporting on the New York City set of her upcoming TV Land show Younger in October is bizarre to say the least.
While some wondered if the severe style was a plot point on the show, it appears Hilary really is attempting to make the 'do trendy, instagramming this selfie of herself on Oct. 29.
As adorable as the beloved Lizzie McGuire star is, we can all agree this is not a style we can get behind, right?
1. Robert Pattinson
What have you done, Robert Pattinson?!
The handsome Twilight star shocked plenty of his fans when he showed up to the 7th Annual GO GO Gala benefiting orphans and vulnerable children around the world in November, with a bowl cut and a bizarre landing strip on the back of his head.
Was Pattinson's crazy 'do an attempt to be as edgy as his super-cool girlfriend F.K.A. Twigs, or for a movie, or just to purposely drive Twilight fans insane?
We'll never know, as the 28-year-old British actor has never talked about it.
But one hairstyle that got attention for all the right reasons this year was Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo's stunning 'do at the Oscars. ET sat down with her hair stylist Larry Sims in February to get all the scoop on the now-iconic look, and that unforgettable headband.
