The model revealed the news via Instagram on Friday.

It's a bittersweet day for Kendra Wilkinson.

Just over a week after a source told ET that the 32-year-old model was planning to file for divorce from her husband of nearly nine years, Hank Baskett, Wilkinson confirmed the split via Instagram on Friday, saying it's her last day of marriage to "this beautiful man."

"I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways," she captioned a pic of her and the 35-year-old former NFL star during happier times. "I’m beyond sad and heartbroken because I did believe in forever, that’s why I said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way. We are both amazing parents and our kids will be happy n never know the difference other than seeing mama smile."

"Sometimes love looks funny," Wilkinson, who shares two children, Hank IV, 8, and Alijah, 3, with Baskett, added. "We are told to make sacrifices in life if it’s true love well in this case it’s me. I want to see happy Hank again... i miss that. Marriage was just a piece of paper and a piece of jewelry but our hearts will always be real."

Wilkinson concluded the post by telling her fans they will probably still see her and Hank together a lot.

"It’s because there’s no hate," she explained. "Love wins in this case it’s just looks a little funny. Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. I feel so thankful and blessed."

As of last month, Wilkinson and Baskett were still living together at their home in Los Angeles, according to a source, who also told us that the mother of two "feels broken," but has "come to terms with the fact that her relationship with Hank isn’t healthy anymore." The source added that their children were unaware their parents would soon be separating.

An additional source told ET at the time that Wilkinson is "very sad" about her decision, as she "still loves" Baskett and "has always been very supportive of him" and his career as a wide receiver with the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts.

"Kendra and Hank went to therapy after Hank's [alleged cheating] scandal to try and work on their marriage, but in the end, his scandal always hung over them like a cloud," the source said. "Hank has never quite recovered from losing his football career. He never really found himself after that."
