Bill Cosby Shares Message Following Prison Release and Accuser Andrea Constand Speaks Out

Andrea Constand is speaking out following Bill Cosby's release from prison on Wednesday after his sexual assault conviction was overturned. Constand said in a joint statement with her attorneys that the court’s decision was ‘disappointing.’ Cosby shared this message on Twitter: ‘I have never changed my stance nor my story. I have always maintained my innocence. Thank you to all my fans, supporters and friends who stood by me through this ordeal. Special thanks to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for upholding the rule of law.’ In response to the backlash from her tweet that was in support of Cosby, his former co-star, Phylicia Rashad, later wrote in part on Twitter, ‘I fully support survivors of sexual assault coming forward. My post was in no way intended to be insensitive to their truth.’
