Danny Masterson Sentenced to 30 Years in Prison for Rape Convictions

Danny Masterson has been sentenced to 30 years in prison, following his convictions on two counts of forcible rape. The 'That '70s Show' star was already in custody after a Los Angeles jury found him guilty in May. District Attorney George Gascón reacted in a statement, 'This has been a long and arduous road for the victims of Mr. Masterson. They not only survived his abuse, they also survived a system that is often not kind to victims. I applaud their courage for coming forward and participating in this process.' The 47-year-old actor's attorney Shawn Holley says in a statement, 'Mr. Masterson did not commit the crimes for which he has been convicted and we--and the appellate lawyers--the best and the brightest in the country--are confident that these convictions will be overturned.'
