Sharon had previously tweeted in Piers’ defense for his decision to walk away from ‘Good Morning Britain’ after receiving backlash for his comments about Meghan Markle following her interview with Oprah Winfrey. During Wednesday’s episode of the daytime talk show, The 68-year-old TV personality got emotional as her co-hosts tried to explain why people were upset by her tweet and on Thursday she issued an apology on social media.
