Tyler Perry Intends to Buy BET and Says There's a Timetable (Exclusive)

Tyler Perry intends to buy BET Media Group. The multihyphenate confirms rumors to ET's Nischelle Turner at the sprawling Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. With three of his TV shows, 'All the Queen's Men,' 'Oval' and 'Sistas,' becoming hits for the 40-year-old brand, Perry is 'interested in taking as much of it' as he can. Following a 'wonderful' collaboration with BET's current owners, Paramount Global (also ET's parent company), Perry believes 'they'll be a lot of happiness when it's Black-owned again.'
