Oprah Winfrey is returning to the big screen to star opposite Forest Whitaker in The Butler, based on the true experiences of a longtime servant at The White House, and the film is just one of the counter-programming dramas amid the big-budget, popcorn studio blockbusters. One other notable film based on a true story this summer is Fruitvale Station, dramatizing the events surrounding the tragic killing at the Oakland train station on New Year's Eve in 2009.
