fun. and The Format's Nate Ruess is back and better than ever, revealing that his brand new solo effort is "my favorite song I've ever written."

This is the same guy who brought us "We Are Young," "Some Nights," and teamed up with Pink on "Just Give Me a Reason," so we don’t take that statement lightly! Now, Ruess' "Nothing Without Love" gives us a taste of what to expect from his forthcoming solo album. Watch the video below.

According to a post on his Facebook Page, Ruess filmed the video in the same water tank used on the film Titanic. ("It was freezing, and after 4 hours in there, I too was about to sink.") The water theme is fitting, since Ruess also says that inspiration for the song struck him in the shower.

"I remember taking a trip upstate to finish the lyrics, and returning thinking that I'd finally been able to say everything I'd ever been feeling in that moment, and it's applied to my life in so many different ways ever since," he writes.

"This is probably my favorite song I've ever written," he adds. "The one I’ve listened to the most on repeat. And I can't pinpoint what it is about it that makes it so special to me, which makes me love it even more."

Ruess is still hard at work finishing his next album and in the meantime, we'll just be over here listening to "Nothing Without Love" on repeat.
