ETonline caught up with Ty at the mtvU Woodies in Ausin, Texas, last week, where he offered an update on what to expect from his major label debut.
"It's almost done," he said of Free TC, due out later this Spring. "It sounds amazing so far."
The album will feature collaborations with Joe Moses, YG, and new artist TC4800, while Ty teases that he may pop up on Rihanna's highly-anticipated #R8 album, as well. Asked about whether he worked with her, the 29-year-old played coy with a big smile.

"Maaaaaaaybe!" he teased. Pushed further, Ty did confirm that he worked with Kanye West, who is producing Rih's album, but kept mum on the details.
"I can't tell you, man," he said, "and it is super cool, but I'm just gonna say maybe!"
But he was definitely more forthcoming when it comes to name-dropping his dream collaborator.
