Lorde is sorry.

The Melodrama singer took to Twitter on Tuesday to respond to a fan who called her out on out her recent comments regarding Taylor Swift and friendship with A-list celebrities being like having a friend who has an "autoimmune disease."

"I wonder how @selenagomez feels about this. What an incredibly ignorant analogy to make @lorde," the fan wrote, noting Selena Gomez's public battle with lupus.

"Didn't mention taylor,' the 20-year-old artist clarified. "But regardless, i f**ked up & that was really insensitive. i'm sorry ?."

The mea culpa moment sat well with the fan, who subtweeted, "The apology is A+ and i have nothing but respect for people who can own their s**t when they misspeak bc we all do it."

"It’s like having a friend with very specific allergies," Lorde told The Guardian in the interview in question, regarding having friends as famous as Swift. "There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do. There are these different sets of considerations within the friendship. It’s like having a friend with an autoimmune disease."
