Selena Gomez Alleged Stalker's Mug Shot

ET has obtained a mug shot of the man Selena Gomez received a restraining order against.

The photo above is from an arrest in 2008 in Illinois of the now 46-year-old Thomas Brodnicki. Legal documents obtained by ET reveal that an L.A. police detective suggested to the Disney starlet that she get a restraining order against Brodnicki, who allegedly admitted to a mental health professional that he "entertained thoughts of killing Ms. Gomez."

According to the documents, Brodnicki has a history of mental illness, causing the authorities to take his threats "extremely seriously." 

Selena's mother, step-father and assistant are also protected under the order.
