Avril Lavigne will soon be Mrs. Kroeger, ET has learned.
A rep for the 27-year-old songstress has confirmed that she is engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, 37.
The couple has reportedly been dating for six months, after first getting together to co-write a tune for Lavigne's fifth album.
Kroeger, who's never been married before, reportedly proposed on August 8. Lavigne, who was married to musician Deryck Whibley for three years before their 2009 split, gladly accepted the reported 14-carat diamond ring.
"He makes her so happy," a family source told People.com. "Both of their families could not be more excited."
