Chris Brown Enters Rehab for Anger Management

Chris Brown has chosen to enter himself into a rehab facility following his recent arrest early Sunday morning, ET confirms.

In a statement issued to ET, Brown's rep says that he elected to enter rehab "to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

A source tells ET that 24-year-old R&B singer is checking himself into rehab for anger management.

The news, which was first reported by E!, comes a day after Brown made a court appearance stemming from his assault charge in Washington D.C. over the weekend.

The singer is currently on probation for his 2009 conviction of felony assault for striking and injuring then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown is due back in court for his misdemeanor assault charge from the weekend on Nov. 25.
