Michelle Collins Joins 'The View' as Permanent Co-Host

The comedian and ET's very own awards show season special contributor joins Raven-Symone as the talk show's newest addition.

After months of guest hosting, Michelle Collins is
officially joining The View.

ET has learned from a source that the 33-year-old comedian will be joining Whoopi Goldberg, Nicolle Wallace, and the show’s
newest addition, Raven-Symone, who was added to the permanent rotation on Jun. 10.
The news comes one day after Rosie Perez confirmed she was stepping down as co-host to focus on acting.

Collins joins the show just two months after rumors began
flying
about the possibility of her and Raven-Symone becoming permanent members
of the co-hosting team.

The View has made
a number of big changes over the past few seasons. In a shakeup, Elisabeth
Hasselback left in 2013, while Barbara Walters, Jenny McCarthy, and Sherri
Shepherd exited the show the following year. Rosie O’Donnell returned to the
show last fall, but made her final exit on Feb. 12.

six years. She has also appeared on Big
Morning Buzz Live
, Chelsea Lately,
Kathy!, and The Tyra Banks Show. Earlier this spring she was featured on VH1’s Walk of Shame Shuttle.

Perez’s last day on the program is Aug. 6, at the end of the
current season. Collins start date has not been announced.

ABC had no confirmation at this time.
