The 31-year-old actress played Alex Kelly -- a lesbian who gets into a relationship with Mischa Barton's character, Marissa Cooper -- on the FOX hit more than a decade ago. In a new interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live!, Wilde says she counts her and Barton's memorable kiss as her favorite girl-on-girl smooch she's ever done.
"I will say that when we were doing The O.C., I really thought we were doing a responsible thing by showing two, young, sweet girls, in a real relationship -- not just having, like, a sorority girl splash happy makeout," Wilde explains. "It was a real, loving, sweet relationship, and it was two young women."
"I joke about inspiring a generation of young lesbians, but I do think it represented an alternative lifestyle for young women that I don't think had been fairly represented enough in young, soapy drama," she adds. "So I'll say, 'Mischa, two thumbs up.'"
But this isn’t the only revealing question the Butter star is forced to answer. During a game of "Plead the Fifth," Wilde is asked by her fiance, Jason Sudeikis, if she has had any real-life lesbian experiences.
"Olivia, you've played a bisexual character more than once. Have you ever dipped into the lady pond in real life?" the 40-year-old comedian asks.
"I am not in perfect shape," she claimed to Shape magazine. "In fact, I'm softer than I've ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot."
