Tell us how you really feel about Trader Joe's, Chrissy Teigen.

Don't expect Chrissy Teigen to set foot in a Trader Joe's store anytime soon.

The 30-year-old model was just one of plenty of people who fell for an April Fools' Day prank when Yahoo! Style published an article on Thursday stating that the grocery chain will be closing all of its 457 stores by next January, which, of course, turned out to be a joke.

"I want to be sad about Trader Joe's but that place was always weird and creepy to me. Except their cookie butter," Teigen tweeted on Thursday.

After the Lip Sync Battle co-host found out the article was a hoax, she doubled down on her dislike for Trader Joe's, writing that she "hates" them "even more."

Teigen -- who published her own cookbook, Cravings, last month -- later defended one of Trader Joe's competitors, Whole Foods.

"Remember when that Whole Foods photo was going around everyone was like, "Who the f**k would buy a peeled orange?," well the answer is me," she wrote.

And now it appears the Trader Joe's prank was a joke gone wrong. The author of the article, Delaney Nicole, responded to a Twitter user who wrote on Thursday, "It's not April 1st yet, so maybe you're the fool."

"Somehow it got published early," Nicole tweeted. "Not in charge of publishing, only in charge of writing."

Trader Joe's has stated that they had no part in the prank, which set off a social media firestorm on Thursday.

"Although we don't take ourselves too seriously, we don't want anyone to mislead our customers," Trader Joe’s public relations director Alison Mochizukiis said in a statement to WHO-TV. "Trader Joe's is open for business and has no plans to close. We had no involvement whatsoever in the April Fools' hoax article."

Although, the article itself explained it's a joke at the end of the story, with Nicole writing, "If this shocking news hits you as hard as it hit me, fear not. It's merely April 1st. Now go celebrate being a fool with your favorite cheap wine."
