Now this is how you'd expect Blake Shelton to ring in the big 4-0!
Gwen Stefani helped Shelton celebrate his birthday in a low-key but festive way as they traveled with his band and crew to Grand Junction, Colorado, for the Country Jam 2016 festival. The "Misery" singer captured their entire journey via -- no surprise here! -- Snapchat.
While en route, the lovebirds took an adorable selfie. Shelton, surrounded by decorations and wearing birthday candle sunglasses and a giant "It's the big 40th birthday" button, gave two thumbs up to the camera as Stefani excitedly snapped the pic. Stefani even drew a red heart around them and scrawled, "HB!"
Once they arrived in Colorado, Stefani showed off more of the festive decorations, including a close-up on Shelton's precious but goofy birthday gear. Seriously, how fantastic is that glitter headband?!
The "Came Here To Forget" singer beamed as his friends sang him "Happy Birthday," blushing and looking at Stefani gratefully.
The No Doubt frontwoman even appeared to kick off her party shoes during the soiree!
Shelton was, of course, given presents, including spoof wine glasses that recreated his and Stefani's gorgeous Vanity Fair Oscar Party looks. That awards show afterparty in February was their red carpet debut.
After celebrating, it was time for the whole crew to head out to Country Jam!
During the show, Stefani continued to document the evening, Snapchatting from backstage. Lucky fans even got to witness Shelton bringing Stefani on stage with him at one point during the performance, where she joined in while rocking a sexy sheer top.
In fact, Stefani shared two adorable throwbacks of her boyfriend via social media earlier on Saturday, blessing us with kid pics on both Twitter and Instagram. "Happy birthday to my favorite person I ever met @blakeshelton gx," she tweeted alongside one of the photos, adding the hashtag #superbabe.
Shelton has gushed over his main squeeze plenty of times since they became official. Watch the video below to find out why he told ET, "I just like being with her," during the two-part season 10 finale of The Voice.
