'This is the first I've heard of it,' a clearly shocked Clooney replied to the news.
George Clooney seems to have been the only person not clued in to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce.
The 55-year-old actor hadn't heard the news until told by CNN correspondent Richard Roth at the United Nations on Tuesday.

Asked for his thoughts on the couple, a confused Clooney asked, "What happened?"
The Money Monster star couldn't hide his shock once it was clarified that Jolie had filed for divorce from Pitt, his long time friend and co-star. "I didn't know that. Wow," he replied.
"I feel very sorry then. That's a sad story and unfortunate for a family. It's an unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that," he solemnly stated, adding, "This is the first I've heard of it."

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt, her husband of two years, on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents obtained by ET list the separation date as Sept. 15, 2016. The 41-year-old actress has requested full physical custody of the couple's six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.
"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids," Pitt told People on Tuesday. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
According to a source, different parenting styles was a contributing factor towards their split.
"Brad has traditional parenting skills -- thinks the kids need structure [like] bed times, consistent schooling," the source said. "Angelina's parenting style is much more freeform. She's not into setting boundaries."
