Katy Perry threw a huge Grease-inspired sock hop-themed birthday party over Halloween weekend, and it was just as fabulous as it sounds, with plenty of celeb friends like Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba getting in on the school spirit.
The "Roar" singer recreated a 1950s-era high school gym for the event, naming the fictitious school Hudson High, after her birth name, Katheryn Hudson.
Perry wore her hair in a huge bright yellow bouffant, pairing the throwback 'do with a yellow-and-black outfit to fit her role as the night's high school principal.
The 32-year-old pop star gave a shout-out to her CoverGirl collection collaborators for helping her with the epic event via Instagram. "Thanks @COVERGIRL for keeping everyone clean-cut and QT at Hudson High, Home of the Poodles. Principal Hudson. #KatyxCOVERGIRL," she wrote, adding a lipstick kiss emoji.
The elaborate party, which Perry documented on her Instagram story, featured a jukebox, detention room, cafeteria food, a massive game of Twister, and entertainment by Elvis and Marilyn Monroe impersonators!
There was even a massive poodle atop the birthday cake.
Perry's current squeeze, actor Orlando Bloom, went blond for the occasion, looking like a cross between Archie and a high school football player, complete with a letter jacket.
Kate Hudson, meanwhile, took the opportunity to pose for pics in the detention room, leaving us to wonder what she did to get sent there!
