Queen Elizabeth Makes Friends With Elephant Named After Her During Zoo Visit -- See the Pics!

Queen Elizabeth has probably met a lot of babies named after her over the years -- but this one's certainly the biggest!

The 90-year-old monarch opened an elephant center during a visit to Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire on Tuesday, where she met a 10-month-old elephant named Elizabeth, who was born the day before the queen's birthday celebrations last year.

Together with her husband, Prince Philip, the queen toured the new home for nine Asian elephants -- and even fed one of them bananas!

The royals took turns feeding an elephant named Donna, before meeting with keepers and vets to learn about the daily care of the animals.

While the queen doesn't mind feeding bananas to elephants, her favorite grocery store find is reportedly cheese.
