The working dad is busy promoting 2 films, shooting Magic Mike XXL and taking care of his 1-year-old baby girl.

These days it seems like Channing Tatum might be the busiest man in Hollywood. ET caught up with the star, who is busy promoting two films—the animated movie The Book of Life, and the chilling drama Foxcatcher—as well as shooting Magic Mike XXL and taking care of his 1-year-old daughter, Everly.

"It's all things that you love and you have to find time for," he says about balancing fatherhood and his film career. "I really do make sure that I carved out enough time for my family and that's first and foremost. Then my love of telling stories comes next."

The 34-year-old actor lights up when he talks about his little girl with wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum and says he's thrilled that his voiceover work in The Book Of Life means she’ll actually get to see one of his movies.

"This is finally one that she's going to get to see, which is cool," he says. Otherwise, though, Everly's not glued to a screen. "She's not watching anything, she's not watching TV, she just wants to dance and run around right now."

One less kid-friendly project we're assuming Everly won't see Dad in is the Magic Mike sequel, which is currently in production in Savannah, Georgia. Tatum reveals this installment of the male stripper drama will show off even more pecs and biceps than the original.

"There will be a lot more skin showed in this one, I can guarantee it," he told ET. "There's no real reason to do a sequel to a stripper movie without more of that."

There's already plenty of hype surrounding the follow-up to the 2012 hit, but we'll just have to wait until summer 2015 to see Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Adam Rodriguez show off their moves again.

Thankfully, Tatum has a third movie to hold us over until then. He explains that he underwent a much different experience to transform into an Olympic wrestler in Foxcatcher.

"XXL is more like a diet more than it is a training," he told us at the New York Film Festival premiere of Foxcatcher. "There's nothing harder than training for freestyle wrestling. There's nothing more suffocating in the whole world, in my opinion, that I've done."

The Book of Life hits theaters this Friday. Foxcatcher is in limited release, beginning November 18.
