Rest in peace, Harry Abdul.

Paula Abdul revealed on Twitter on Wednesday that her father, Harry, has died. He was 85. The news comes just over a year after the death of Abdul's mother, Lorraine, who died in January 2018 at age 85.

The "Forever Your Girl" singer shared a heartfelt tribute to her father alongside sweet photos and a video of them together. "'Dad: a daughters first love.' - Unknown," she began her first post. "Everyone loved my father. He had a heart of gold and carried his heart on his sleeve wherever he went, and shared it with everyone he came in contact with. Isn't it a beautiful gift that I still feel his spirit with me?"

An hour later, Abdul thanked fans for their support. "My Father was, and always will be, my superhero. ♥️??," she wrote. "Thank you ALL for the heartfelt condolences. Your love and support is comforting me during this difficult time. xoP."

ET sat down with Abdul in 2017, as she gushed over how her fans have supported her through the years, from her '80s hits to her American Idol days and beyond.

"It's been humbling and it's been at times overwhelming," she shared.

"As I'm older now, it means so much more, because these people have grown up with me," she continued, marveling at how her fans have now introduced her to their children and brought them to her shows. "It's precious. It's exciting, just being able to reconnect. I'm seeing fans that have followed me for 30 years."
