'Real Housewives of Orange County' Star Shannon Beador Sued by Ex John Janssen Over Alleged $75K Facelift Loan

John Janssen has reportedly filed suit in Orange County Superior Court against the reality star.

Shannon Beador may soon be going to court after her ex, John Janssen, filed a lawsuit against her in Orange County Superior Court last week.

Janssen is suing the Real Housewives of Orange County star for breach or oral contract and promissory fraud, People exclusively reports. Janssen is seeking $75,000, which he claims he lent to Beador and was never repaid.

According to the lawsuit obtained by the publication, Janssen claims he agreed to help Beador financially and wired her $40,000 in January 2022 to allegedly pay for a facelift procedure before sending her an additional $35,000 in May.

Jannsen claims that, in the case of both amounts, Beador agreed to pay back the loans with interest and has allegedly not done so, despite being asked for the money in back in 2023 and earlier this year.

Beador and Janssen called it quits in late 2022 after more than three years together.

Beador released a statement to People claiming that she "agreed to pay John what he wanted because I knew that attorneys fees would surpass the amount sought, but more importantly to eliminate the negative emotional components that come with a lawsuit."

"It is important that I continue to focus on the positive aspects of my life and move forward," Beador's statement continued. "John declined the offer because he refused to sign a mutual non-disparagement agreement. I was hoping that if I met his baseless demand we could at least use this as an opportunity to bring complete closure to this chapter in my life."

Beador and Jannsen's split in 2022 came shortly after filming wrapped on season 17 of RHOC. The pair were initially amicable until they stopped talking, shortly after her DUI arrest in September 2023

In November 2023, Beador was sentenced to 36 months of probation, 40 hours of community service and a nine-month-long alcohol program.

Days after her sentencing, Beador spoke with ET at BravoCon 2023 and she opened up about her legal woes and her split.

"I've spent the last month focusing on myself," Beador said at the time. "I went to a program for 28 days and I am -- I have started and I'm continuing to eliminate toxic and unhealthy things in my life."

"I haven't been drinking and, you know, there's certain relationships that I've ended as well," she added. When asked about her post-split friendship with Jannsen, Beador said, "We have not spoken for over a month and I don't have any intention [to]."
