'RHOC' Star Shannon Beador Files for Divorce From Husband David After 17 Years of Marriage

Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador and husband David are officially calling it quits.
According to court documents obtained by ET, Shannon filed for divorce on Dec. 1, citing irreconcilable differences. The two have been married since 2000 and list their separation date as "TBD."
As for their three children together -- 16-year-old Sophie and 13-year-old twins Stella and Adeline -- Shannon is requesting joint legal custody, though is petitioning for sole physical custody. Shannon is also requesting spousal support and that David pay her attorney fees.
On Tuesday, Beador shared an uplifting message on Instagram.
"Someday, everything will make perfect sense," the message reads. "So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason."
"After much thought and careful consideration, David and I have made the difficult decision to separate," Shannon said. "We remain partners in parenthood and are committed to raising our three daughters. This is not the future we envisioned, and we kindly ask for privacy, especially for our children, during this transitional time.”
Of course, trouble in Shannon and David's marriage has been well-documented on Real Housewives of Orange County. During season 10 in 2015, David confessed that he had been unfaithful to Shannon. Still, the two reconciled and renewed their vows last August.
ET spoke with Shannon in September, when she admitted there were still lingering issues in their relationship, though she said the two were "working on it."
"Relationships go up and down," Shannon acknowledged. "We were at the highest of the high last season. So, you're gonna maybe see a dip. We're working on building our -- working on ourselves. You know, doing the best that we can with our kids -- for our kids -- so, it's working on it."
