The Cloud 9 gang has some thoughts about their new district manager.
On Thursday's episode of Superstore, titled "District Manager," Amy (America Ferrera), Jonah (Ben Feldman) and company meet Laurie (guest star Jennifer Irwin), their big box store's new regional boss. Her introduction is met with some hesitancy from the employees, as she makes it clear from the outset that she's there to make some drastic cuts in order to save money.
In ET's exclusive sneak peek, a few members of the Cloud 9 crew gossip about Laurie and it becomes clear some employees are "super weirded out" by having a female superior.
"It's 2018!" Amy calls them out.
"A lot of people think that women make better bosses than men. It's like they say: Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels," Jonah says, repeating the famous 1980s line.
But Myrtle (Linda Porter), the elderly Cloud 9 store clerk, overhears and totally misunderstands Jonah's remark, hilariously unraveling the conversation into a completely unrelated tangent. Watch the exclusive clip above to see what happens next.
