'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri' Scores Big With Best Drama, Acting and Screenplay Golden Globes

It was a big night for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. 

While the film didn't quite sweep all six categories in which it was nominated at Sunday's Golden Globes, it did earn the ceremony's top honor. Three Billboards won the award for Best Motion Picture -- Drama, besting some powerhouse competition in the form of The Shape of Water, The Post, Dunkirk and Call Me by Your Name. 

"You can tell we had a wonderful time making this film," producer Pete Czernin said in his acceptance speech. "It was a truly extraordinary experience." 

Earlier in the night, both Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwellwere awarded for their acting, while Martin McDonagh was recognized for Best Screenplay.
