'Two and a Half Men' Season Premiere Recap

CBS

In arguably the most anticipated television season premiere of this year, the cast of Two and a Half Men proved that they can still be funny without their former star Charlie Sheen.

The first part of the two-part premiere opened with Allen (Jon Cryer) giving a eulogy at Charlie's funeral where there was a noticeable absence of tears as most of those in attendance were woman burned by Charlie - with STDs.

Charlie's death came on a trip to Paris where he proposed to Rose (Melanie Lynskey) who pushed him into an oncoming train after she discovered him in the shower with another woman.

With the bread winner of the house gone Allen isn't able to afford the lavish beachside mansion, so his mother holds an open house in an attempt to sell it. This brings in guest appearances by John Stamos, Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson as potential buyers.

While the guest appearances garnered a huge reaction from the live audience, the biggest reaction of the night was reserved for Ashton Kutcher, who stumbled upon the house after his failed attempt at drowning himself in the ocean.

While comforting Ashton's character Walden Schmidt about the impetus for the suicide attempt - his recent breakup with his high school sweetheart Bridgette - Allen sees opportunity when Walden reveals his billion-dollar fortune.

Although Walden seems slightly more caring than the now deceased Charlie, Allen discovers that the heartbroken billionaire is just the reincarnation of his brother when Walden falls into a threesome with a couple of girls that Allen helped him pick up at a bar.

And that sexual escapade was all Walden needed to seal the deal on buying the Harper house.
