With the new TV season just a few months away, we've got a preview of some of the hottest new shows to look out for this fall.
TV Guide's Michael Schneider says the new show getting the most buzz so far is ABC's musical drama Nashville.
Set against the backdrop of the country music scene, this soapy melodrama stars Connie Britton as a veteran singer with her best days behind her. Britton's character is forced by her label to mentor an up-and-coming country crooner played by Hayden Panettiere.
ABC also has high hopes for its new drama Last Resort - an intense series starring Andre Braugher, who plays the captain of a U.S. nuclear submarine that is targeted by American government after Braugher's character refuses to carry out an order to carry out a nuclear attack on Pakistan.
Over at NBC, executives have high hopes for Revolution a new sci-fi drama from the team of J.J. Abrams, Iron Man director Jon Favreau and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. The series takes place 15 years after a global blackout completely changes the modern world when society is forced to live without electricity.
