In the new series, which will launch this weekend with a TV movie entitled Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess, Gunn plays "Baileywick," the butler to "Sofia," who is voiced by Modern Family actress Ariel Winter.

"One of the reasons I love being the voice of Baileywick is that...I was born to be a houseboy," he said of the new role. "I was born to have this role. I love it. I love taking care of people and looking after things...and I love planning and implementing, so for me, I get a vicarious thrill out of this role."

The longtime Project Runway mentor has branded a unique personality over the years, which the show's writers factored in when creating his character. Not only is his likeness visible in the character but Baileywick also utters Gunn's catchphrase.

"Baileywick does say 'Make it work' and it's not a coincidence," he revealed. "I'm proud to say that the role was really developed around me and who I am, and I get to be me as Baileywick. So, being me and being Baileywick, 'Make it work' is just a natural."
