Kelly Ripa Jokes About 'Live!' Drama With Guest Co-Host Joel McHale

The TV star joked that she's "gotten used" to being walked on.

Joel McHale didn't shy away from making jokes about Michael Strahan's Live! exit while co-hosting the morning show on Tuesday -- and neither did Kelly Ripa.

The former Soup star sarcastically opened the show by asking Ripa if "anything weird" had happened in the last couple of months on Live!

McHale -- who hosted the CFDA Awards on Monday night -- noted that he hadn't seen Ripa since he introduced her during her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony last October. In reference to her star on Hollywood Boulevard, McHale asked the 45-year-old TV personality, "Is it weird to think people are walking on top of you right now?" Ripa responded, "No, I've gotten used to that."

Further joking about the ABC show's search for Strahan's replacement after he took a full-time job at Good Morning America, McHale quipped that there was a fly in the studio that would be guest co-hosting Live! next Thursday. Late Late Show host James Corden and Miss USA, Deshauna Barber, were the guests on Tuesday's episode.

Jimmy Kimmel was Ripa's first guest co-host following Strahan's exit, and also made light of the situation. Ripa pointed out that Kimmel was also her first guest co-host when Regis Philbin left the ABC show in 2011. "I'm like the ex-boyfriend you go back to for sex after you break up with your husband," the late-night host joked.

In addition, Kimmel brought along a wheel for Ripa to spin so that she could choose from seven possible co-hosts to replace Strahan. Check it out:
