'Insecure': Issa Stumbles Through the Single Life, Molly Scores a New Man

HBO

The new episode of HBO's hit comedy is all about awkward sex.

Issa has sex on the brain.

Episode three of Insecure's second season finds Issa (Issa Rae) on the hunt for a guy to hop into bed with, while her bestie Molly (Yvonne Orji) lands a new man.

Now that Lawrence (Jay Ellis) is officially "done" with their relationship, Issa enlists Molly for a crash corse in sleeping around.

"I just want be on my Halle Berry s**t," Issa tells Molly in reference to Berry's Monster's Ball sex scene. "I just want to feel good."

The BFFs head to a bar where Issa fails at the art of seduction, and Molly scores a potential new love interest in Lionel, a handsome entrepreneur played by Sterling K. Brown.

But don't get too excited for Molly, she’s not exactly convinced that her "good on paper" guy is worth the time.

Meanwhile, Issa can't find anyone else to have sex with, so she decides to settle for her neighbor. Luckily, the awkward bedroom romp is enough to boost Issa's confidence.

As for Lawrence, he's also going through a new phase. He dumps Tasha (Dominique Perry) after ditching her family barbecue for a work-related dating mixer. On the plus side, Tasha finally speaks up for herself, and it leaves us questioning whether Lawrence is the victim or the villain.
