Kendall Jenner Is a Vision in Never-Before-Worn Archival Givenchy Couture at 2024 Met Gala

The supermodel's ex, Bad Bunny, is one of this year's co-chairs.

Kendall Jenner has done it again! The 28-year-old reality star and supermodel proved she's still the one to beat at fashion's biggest night as she walked the red carpet at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday for the 2024 Met Gala

Jenner opted for a never-worn archival piece from Givenchy, which was designed by the late Alexander McQueen. The model is the first person to wear the dress since, according to Vogue, the fall 1999 haute couture look was presented on mannequins and never shown on the runway.

The dress, which features cutouts at the waist, is made of nude and black tulle and features over 100,000 black and brass beads and sequins. The hand embroidery took 500 hours to make, according to the outlet.

This year's Met Gala theme is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." The annual event -- helmed by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour -- was a star-studded affair, with all attendees abiding by "The Garden of Time" dress code.

"It's been sleeping for the last 25 years. It's literally a 'sleeping beauty,'" Jenner tells the outlet. "It's such a special moment. I feel extremely honored that they're allowing me to wear it."

Jenner wasn't allowed to tailor the dress since it's been kept in pristine condition in the Givenchy archives, but it ended up fitting her "like a glove."

"The rest is history," the 10-time gala attendee says, "and it really feels meant to be in a way."

Notably, the supermodel's ex, Bad Bunny, is one of this year's co-chairs alongside Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth

The exes split last December after several months of dating, but appear to be on good terms as they rang in the new year together.

At the time of the split, a source told ET, "Kendall and Bad Bunny have been doing their own things lately and things slowly started to fizzle out between them."

"They both knew going into this that it likely wouldn't be a forever type of relationship and that was mutually understood from the get-go," the source continued. "They have crazy busy schedules and know they're still young and have a lot more to experience individually before settling down."

Jenner has attended the Met Gala every year since 2014 with the exception of 2020 when the event was canceled due to the COVID pandemic. Last year, she rocked a custom Marc Jacobs look, including a black bodysuit and incredibly tall, black platform boots.
