The 31-year-old singer is back on the platform for an important reason!

Adele has made her Twitter return!

On Tuesday, the 31-year-old singer took to the social media platform for the first time in nearly a year for an important cause. For her grand Twitter return, Adele reached out to U.K. citizens, encouraging them to register to vote.

"Don't forget to Register to Vote before midnight tonight U.K.," she wrote, along with a link where people could do just that.

Prior to that tweet, Adele had most recently used the social media website on Dec. 13, 2018, in remembrance of the victims of the Grenfell tower fire that killed 72 people last year.

In 2018, Adele tweeted only seven other times, a few of which were dedicated to her favorite musicians -- including Drake and Lauryn Hill --  and others that focused on animals, charities, and her friends.

Though she's not all that active on Twitter, Adele does post fairly often on Instagram, sharing shots of herself and others enjoying life and being silly.

Most recently, back in October, Adele shared a glam pic of herself celebrating Drake's birthday.
