Nominations for the 2019 Critics' Choice Awards were announced on Monday, honoring the best of the year in films and television as bestowed by the Broadcast Film Critics and Television Journalists Associations.

The show has long been considered one of the best predictors for the Oscars, and last year saw The Shape of Water take home Best Picture and Best Director, with awards for eventual Academy Award winners Frances McDormand, Gary Oldman, Allison Janney and Sam Rockwell, as well. On the TV side, Big Little Lies was the night's big winner. This year, however, it's anyone's guess until the Critics' Choice Awards air live on The CW on Sunday, Jan. 13.
