Penelope Cruz enchants Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,' and we're flashing back to her first ET interview!

Back in 1999 when she was a muse for filmmaker Pedro Almodovar and famous for her performance in the haunting 'Abre les Ojos (Open Your Eyes)' -- later remade with Tom Cruise as 'Vanilla Sky' -- the Madrid-born Cruz was starting to make waves in the Hollywood community, working with Billy Bob Thornton and Matt Damon in 'All the Pretty Horses.' We caught up with the 24-year-old at a Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
