Becky G knows how to work the camera.
The 21-year-old singer dropped the music video for her new collaboration, "Next To You," with Digital Farm Animals and Rvssian last week, and ET has an exclusive behind the scenes look at the making of the sensual visual.
Dressed in black latex lace-up pants, a cheetah-print bra and a see through jacket, Becky struts into a crowd of people and is then seen dancing and getting her makeup done.
"Let me explain something to you real quick. Being a shawty is all cool, is all fun and games, until your lead guy is, I believe, 6'1, and you're five feet tall and then this happens," she says as the camera pans to her feet, revealing she's standing on a wooden platform to make her appear taller.
Meanwhile, Digital Farm Animal tells ET how the collaboration came to be. "For 'Next To You,' the original was really more in a straight pop-lane production wise. I was playing around with it to make it feel more unique and someone from Becky's team recommended we get Rvssian involved," the artist explains.
"I'm a big fan of other records of his and he's been really important in the Dance Hall space so I was excited. We went back and forth on it for a while and it's ended up as something really fresh -- and to me has all the ingredients to be a big hit. Becky has killed the vocal and so the combination of all of us makes for something really exciting," the DJ adds.
Becky has been collaborating with a slew of artists, and just last week told ET ahead of the Billboard Latin Music Awards that she wanted to do a full album with Natti Natasha.
"I told her, 'Dude, we need to do an album. Like, why not?'" Becky dished, explaining how working together on "Sin Pijama" last year was a "game-changing moment" for her.
"I think for me, I was so confident and sure in what I brought to the table, I was so excited to work with someone who was the same way about everything that she's doing," she recalled. "That kind of changed the way people perceived female collaborations, especially in urban music, because it really had never been done before. And so when we did that, we did that."
