"People should do it more often. I absolutely encourage it," Gyllenhaal quips. "There should be more of that in my life."
However, he then implies that he might not have initially understood the question, adding, "When you said 'set you up,' I thought you meant for a prank."
While the Stronger star is open to romantic relationships, he also seems content with being single. "I don’t get lonely. I have myself," he says. "I have a really wonderful group of friends, and I have a life I love in New York City. When you have a foundation that’s strong, you can move from it and go explore."
The subject of love comes up again when Gyllenhaal is asked about portraying Georges Seurat in the Broadway production of Sunday in the Park With George, and how the character struggles with expressing his true feelings for a woman named Dot.
