Nobody puts Kelly Ripa in a corner!
Mark Consuelos had to speak out regarding negative comments left on a recent Instagram pic he posted of the Live With Kelly and Ryan co-host in a bikini. The 46-year-old Riverdale star took to the comments section of Instagram to leave a lengthy response, defending his wife of almost 22 years.
“I wanted to take a couple days to weigh in. Probably should’ve earlier arguably,” he began. “But I wanted to be above it. Well, now I’m not.”
He went on to praise Ripa, dishing, “I posted this pic of the women I most admire. As a playful tribute to my wife who I’m proud of in endless ways. She works extremely hard in her professional life and her commitment to exercise, healthy diet is admirable and the benefits show.”
In the bikini shot, Ripa is flashing her abs and coming out of the ocean.
“Yes she’s wearing a bikini at age 47 and will no doubt wear one for many years to come,” Consuelos continued. “If that offends you in some way, if it triggers you, or some other psychosis you’re suffering from, I suggest you get over it and get used to it.”
He then invited all the "males [who] had something negative to say" to bring up their issues about Ripa with himself, in person. Consuelos concluded with a sweet message for his wife, writing: “I love you, @kellyripa. Keep killing it.”
The couple has a history of clapping back at their haters. Earlier this month, the two teamed up in the comments section of a throwback photo posted by Ripa after one commenter wrote: “Too bad [Mark's] short when he tries to look taller. It looks funny. Just be who you are.”
Consuelos replied: "Please tell me how it is I can try to look taller. I’m dying to know.”
Ripa also cheekily responded: “He’s tall where it counts, babe.”
