In ET's exclusive sneak peek at the 'When Calls the Heart' season 9 premiere, Elizabeth, Nathan and Lucas share an awkward moment. Nathan sits down with Elizabeth and the two share a sweet conversation. Nathan tells Elizabeth that he’s glad to see her happy with Lucas, and Elizabeth responds by saying she’s thrilled they could remain friends. This all comes after the season 8 finale, when the school teacher decided to pursue a courtship with the saloon owner instead of the Mountie. Then, Lucas approaches their table to let Elizabeth know his plans for the night have changed – that’s when awkwardness ensues. ‘When Calls the Heart’s season 9 premiere airs March 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.
